PRESS RELEASE

BreedrAI to build the world’s largest Thoroughbred Welfare Intelligence Platform

Sydney, Australia – January 2026

BreedrAi Pty Ltd today announced the formalisation of strategic partnerships with leading biometric and equine data service providers, marking a major milestone in the development of the Welfare Intelligence Platform (WIP) — an independent, national system designed to lift and standardise welfare outcomes for all horses, regardless of stable of farm size, location or technology adoption.

What is the WIP?

The WIP is being built as the central intelligence layer for Thoroughbred welfare, aggregating and analysing any existing biometric and stable welfare data, including temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, movement, workload and traceability, and converting it into practical benchmarking tools and early-warning insights that take into consideration each training environment.

For the first time, trainers will have access to clear, logical and easy-to-read welfare analytics that translate raw data into insights capable of driving meaningful, day-to-day decisions. Whether a temperature is taken manually or automatically via a device, the WIP applies the same standardised benchmarks, ensuring every stable has access to the same tools, regardless of size or level of technology adoption.

By identifying abnormal patterns early, the platform aims to detect illness 24-48hrs before symptoms are normally visible, reduce injury incidence through preventative insight, lower veterinary and spelling costs, and support more consistent, evidence-based decision-making.

“This is about lifting the welfare baseline for the entire industry — not by adding cost or complexity, but by using data already being generated more intelligently,” said Tom Seymour, Founder of BreedrAI. “When welfare improves, costs come down, efficiencies increase, and the long-term sustainability of racing and breeding improves for everyone.”

Industry endorsement and trainer-led support

With core data partnerships now secured, BreedrAI has also received endorsement from the Australian Trainers’ Association (ATA), reflecting growing momentum behind a nationally consistent, trainer-practical welfare framework.

Importantly, BreedrAI is also receiving support from leading metropolitan and regional stables — including operators with their own internal analytics — who recognise that the industry is only as strong as its weakest link, and that a shared, independent benchmarking layer provides an additional safety net for all participants.

Access to free welfare benchmarking tools and insights is expected to give trainers greater confidence to invest in data-capture devices over time, allowing technology adoption to occur organically and at a pace that suits individual stables.

A tangible welfare service and a catalyst for innovation

BreedrAI’s approach is intentionally service-led: a transparent, measurable welfare solution that delivers practical outputs (benchmarks, alerts and reporting pathways) while reinforcing the case for a consistent national framework over the current state-by-state model.

The WIP is also expected to act as a catalyst for innovation across the wearable and sensor marketplace. A number of device manufacturers have already expressed interest in accessing the WIP databank, recognising the value of an independent, large-scale welfare dataset to refine products, improve accuracy, simplify user experience and validate outcomes.

This is expected to drive greater competition, a broader range of devices, and ultimately lower unit pricing for trainers and stud owners, further supporting adoption and long-term welfare outcomes across the industry.

Expressions of Interest – Round 1 investors and partners

With core data partnerships secured, industry endorsement building, and strong interest emerging from both research institutions and technology providers, BreedrAi is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Round 1 investors and aligned strategic partners.

The opportunity will particularly appeal to investors who appreciate the strategic value of data and recognise the first-mover advantage in unlocking multiple scalable revenue streams across a large, global Thoroughbred marketplace — one of the last major industries yet to meaningfully engage with AgTech, data analytics and AI-driven decision-making.

BreedrAi is being built to establish foundational infrastructure in this space, combining measurable welfare outcomes with a platform designed to scale with minimal friction, both nationally and internationally.
