BreedrAI Formalises Landmark Data Partnership to Build the World’s Largest Thoroughbred Welfare Intelligence Platform
Sydney, Australia – January 2026
BreedrAi Pty Ltd today finalised formal strategic partnerships with a cohort of leading biometric and equine data service providers, marking a major milestone in the development of the world’s largest independent Thoroughbred welfare data bank.
The partnerships will underpin the creation of BreedrAi’s national welfare benchmarking and early illness-detection system, designed to fundamentally improve horse welfare outcomes while delivering meaningful cost savings and operational efficiencies for owners, trainers and breeders.
At its core, the platform will aggregate and analyse large-scale biometric and welfare data — including temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, movement, workload and traceability — to establish objective, localised welfare benchmarks across training environments, regions and seasons.
By identifying abnormal patterns early, the system aims to detect illness before clinical symptoms are visible, reduce injury incidence through preventative insight, lower veterinary and spelling costs, and support more consistent, evidence-based decision-making across stables of all sizes.
“This is about lifting the welfare baseline for the entire industry — not by adding cost or complexity, but by using data already being generated more intelligently,” said Tom Seymour, Founder of BreedrAI. “When welfare improves, costs come down, efficiencies increase, and the long-term sustainability of racing and breeding improves for everyone.”
BreedrAI is being built as the central intelligence layer for Thoroughbred welfare, aggregating data from multiple biometric and stable systems into a single, independent benchmarking platform.
By transforming previously siloed data into live, comparable welfare insights, BreedrAI gives the industry something it has never had before: a neutral, data-led view of horse health across stables, regions, seasons and operating conditions.
This foundation enables:
Together, these capabilities represent one of the most significant advances in innovation the racing and breeding industries have seen, with the potential to materially influence public confidence, welfare outcomes and long-term participation.
Lower costs, higher welfare, stronger businesses
Earlier illness detection and injury prevention do more than protect horses — they change the economics of training and ownership.
BreedrAI’s welfare benchmarks and alerts are designed to:
Importantly, the platform is being developed so that stables of all sizes — including smaller and regional operations — can access the same welfare intelligence as large commercial yards, supporting a more efficient, competitive and sustainable industry from the ground up.
Expressions of Interest – Round 1 investors and partners:
With core data partnerships secured and platform development underway, BreedrAi is now inviting Expressions Of Interest (EOI) from Round 1 investors and strategic commercial partners.
This represents a rare opportunity to:
BreedrAi is seeking aligned partners and investors who recognise the long-term value of data and AI in agriculture and sport, and who wish to contribute to building infrastructure that can future-proof racing and breeding for the next generation.
